Wollongong > Mildura > Broken Hill

Hi All, Well this is an alternate idea to previous advice I sought on my Trip outback to Broken Hill, Innaminka, Birdsville etc prior to joining a charity trek through the Flinders which is leaving from Broken HIill..

We have concluded we just didnt have enough time to travel this area slowly enough to spend a few days in each spot to appreciate it before the charity drive started. So I have decide to look for an alternate route to meet the charity group in Broken Hill.

Im looking for recommendations and routes from Wollongong to Broken Hill via Mildura, would love some tips of great places to camp and also any recommendations on old country pubs to see (I love old country pubs - dont we all :). We have 6 days to get to Broken Hill from Wollongong, before taggging up with a group to head into the Flinders and Cnr Country.

PS travelling in 80series landcruiser - setup for touring, so outback dirt roads / tracks not an issue
