After a little help here if possible.
Looking at spending some time in Ballarat and I am trying to find some reasonably priced cabin accommodation for the family of 4.
Was hoping some of the more travelled out there would be able to recommend a nice kids friendly park? We have 2 kids (4&6) who love pools and playgrounds, actually anything and everything kids get up to.

Thanks for any advice.

I have checked out a few of the parks in Ballarat as we go there often.
I reckon the best facilities are at the one near Sovereign Hill.
There are 2 other parks we have checked out, one on the way into the town centre from the Melbourne direction and the other out Sturt St past Wendouree and past that big arch way, both seemed ok but not as nice as the Sovereign hill one.
We actually stayed in the Sturt St one and the cabins were nice and new.
Someone else might be able to comment on pricing....

there's a Big4 park in rememberance drive, don't know that they have a pool but have heard it's a good park. there's the aquatic centre a short drive from there for a big heated pool with lots of amenities.

Thanks mate. I've checked out a couple of the big4's online and they look real good. Will probably end up going to one of them but keeping our options open at the moment.

we've stayed at the big4 welcome stanger and windmill (my boys are 4,6 & 8) in the last 18 months - although we took the tent.
Facilities were great in both of them and both parks were very kid friendly. Windmill's swimming pool has a roof to give it indoor/outdoor options which is nice because kids want to swim but Ballarat is COLD. Welcome stranger had the endless swim spa indoors which was great too but cost an extra $10 for an hour and had to be booked, but then the mini golf (fee on that too) was fun. Kids loved the sunday morning pancakes at windmill.
We got thoroughly soaked at welcome stranger but the staff were very friendly and everyone was quite jovial as we pulled down our tents in the flooding rains.
If you are going soon I think they are both offering kids stay free deals over the winter break which makes a big difference too.
