hi all,
just wondering if anyone has taken a van from
Broken Hill to Menindee/Ivanhoe/Hay/
Junee along the Cobb Highway. Was planning to do the trip in early October, but with all the recent rain weve had, just might be too much road damage to berepaired before we go.
That was plan "a", now we have to find a suitable plan "b".
Cheers,
Geoff.

It's far too early to worry about the road conditions for October Geoff.
The road could be open and closed a dozen or more times between now and then.
They may even grade all or some of it a dozen times before October.
The best time to
check is a day or two before you plan to travel.
A storm went through about midnight last night and it may have changed the conditions completely to what it was yesterday.

Tried to go that way recently and ended up having to take a fairly large detour via Wilcania. According to the RTA and Exploroz sites on the day it was open but locals said it had been closed for a week, I doubt very much if the road will be open any time soon given the continued rain in the area. But yeah, October might be a different story.
