Hi, did any of you do the trip from Dargo to Omeo in summer? Any comment on the Birregun Road?
Cheers,
Willem

Willem,
I travelled the Birregun Road in March and found it in good condition. One small section as you begin the climb north east of Dargo was a bit rough but the majority is good with some great views from the top of the range. Closer to Omeo, they're logging some of the timber left after bushfires and the road is closed during winter. The Dog's Grave is worth a visit as you're travelling through.

Regards, Peter

We travelled that way in Nov 08 and found the road fine and a nice drive. Leave plenty of time to see the sights as you go.
cheers

The Birregun road is like a highway in some places but 2 weeks ago I went through there and the day was very sunny but where the shade was on the road it was extremely slippery.Great drive through there to Omeo.
Cheers,
Boof.
