I know now why in Queensland they spell beer like this XXXX, I did the trip up the mountain to Paluma just out of Townsville where they say take a walk in the clouds, this must refer to the road workers have a look at sign on the way up the mountain Image Could Not Be Found

Yep!!! I have been told by a good authority the reason for the way signs have been placed well back from the corners.

In summer they are moved back close to the corners for all us Queenslanders, then in winter they are moved back well away from the corners for the southerners.
When I asked why, the learned person said. " it's because the southerners are so slow, by the time they react they have gone over the side."

The sign indicates a sharp left turn coming up ....

Bet you, less than 200 metres from that sign there was a sharp left turn

Right?

Actually a very good reason XXXX is so spelt. The beer is that good that it turns an average Qld XXX star into a XXXX star. If your gal can handle you on XXXX the next level up is God's own nectar...Bundy Rum!!!

Cheers, Trevor.
