how can you tell if your ute has been lifted myine is substantially higher i was told 3" how do icheck/see if it has ??? is there different types of lift from different areas ??

You have provided no information although your tag suggest that you have a Hilux of some sort.
There is a place you can
check what you vehicle trim height is, you will need to fill in some details and the site is a bit flakey even thought its a government site.
Vehicle trim height site (click here) Provided your vehicle is post 1999 you should find it here.
The only bits you need to fill in are:
Make: Toyota
Marketing Model: Hilux
Manufacturer's Name: Toyota
Build Volume: FULL
Status: ALL
You can miss out the rest. From this you will get a list of vehicles.
The descriptor will tell you how to measure the standard height for your vehicle.
Depending on vehicle age there may be some sag so allow + or - 15%

apologies 4 lack of info ws rushing . appreciate your detailed response. took to suspenion mob my being a 97 model, he said has had 2 inch lift leaf job new shocks car is in good nick ;) tyres and rims fitte today 31 x 10.5 and 15 x 7 sunnies .... happy days
