Painted Desert Feedback

The Painted Desert is a stunning, if small, area. Photography at dawn dusk or during the day is great and the short walk in the western section of the area is great. Camping at Arkaringa Station - about a 20 minute drive from the Painted Desert - is good with a fire circle, showers and toilets and a large lightly gravelled camping area. If you visit make sure you stay for a dusk, dawn and daytime wander.

The cat has a new friend, a 5 month old German Shepherd...

We tried to pitch the tent and the cat climbed inside and the dog chased it all over the place!

I didn't notice any, but then, I wasn't looking for them, either!

The vegetation tends to follow fairly straight lines around there - looked like drainage lines but it could have been shot lines.

Cheers
