Hi, thanks for previous help with the Thargo to Quilpie stretch.

Does anyone know anything about the Quilpie to Blackall road through Adavale, all unsealed for 316km.

Going this way would save about 3hours.

Cheers

Drove that route about 3 weeks ago , was fine then . Good gravel surface 80-90 km/h comfortable . Not bad scenery as well , green after recent rain . Call in and have a coldie at Adavale Hotel with Deb , good pub , but watch out I think its closed Mondays .

We were at Nardoo Station, Cunnamulla last night and it RAINED. It was reported as being pretty widespread (e.g. 2 inches in Charleville) so I would suggest the unsealed roads in the general western area may well be closed. We noted the Darling River Run from Bourke down, was closed. Strongly suggest checking with local authorities before departing.
