Aggie,
Drive slowly on the Siverton Rd as it has BIG dips in it. My mate smashed the glass top on his stove.

Cheers,
Bill

Aggie, you could drive any car or van you would like to name out to Silverton.

I think the previous statement on this post indicates far too much speed.
It is clearly signposted where the dips and floodways are.

Aggie, have a look in the Members trips/gatherings.

You will see that the next National Gathering is being held at Penrose Park.

There is a link there to tell you a lot about Silverton and Penrose Park.

Hi aggie,
It is a fantastic place to stay. We stay there every time we are out that way, Only you dont want to stay there when we are there because it rains every time we go

G'day aggie, the gathering at Penrose Park in September next year is an event organised each year in different locations for ExplorOz members and visitors to get together.
The event is held so that people like us who frequent this website can meet up and have a meal and a drink together, and have a yarn about all the great places in Aus to visit.
Many of us only know others on the website by a screen name, but we all share a common interest in getting to know this wonderful country we live in.
So, it is a good chance to get together and share a spot around a campfire and have a laugh.
There are usually trips or events held on each of the days, and you choose what you want to do.
There are quite a few things in the pipeline for the 2011 event, and they will be put up on the website as the plans come to fruition.
Check the Trips & Gatherings section every now and again to see what's happening.
The idea of having it over a week is so that those who only have a few days to spare can still come and join in for a bit of fun.
If you do a search on the blogs you will see references to the Wiluna gathering just held recently, and also the St George gathering held in Sept 2009
