Does anyone know if the Jayco Hawk
pop-top caravans with the Outback options (offroad extra's) would handle a trip along the
Gibb River Road /
Mitchell Falls. I guess input from people who own one would be great, otherwise has anyone seen one travelling along this track.

Did the
Gibb River Road with a golf camper, similar format to the Jayco Hawk.
Mine handled the corrugations
well, it has independant
suspension and heavy shocks. The leaf springs on the Jayco seem to be solid enough but I would pay attention to the externally hung
water tank and exposed hoses on the Jayco (apologies to Mr Jayco if they have changed these recently).Common sense, addressing tyre pressure, loading and speed will see you along this magnificent piece of country.
