Hi All,
Have just joined this forum - so hi to everyone.

I was just wondering if anyone knows where I can purchase a telescopic ladder. we are currently in Mandurah W.A. Heard they were available at Kmart, but they know longer sell them.

thanks Shell

Hi Shell,

Welcome.

You did not say how long you wanted one to extend. I assume so that you can reach the roof of a house or caravan etc.

There are several that do the same thing and look the same. ie Chinese copies of quality ones etc.

I got my from Kedron Caravans. Just google them and ask for Lisa. They will freight it accross. Not certain of the price but certain of the quality. One tends to forget the price when perched on top of a ladder. Quality is excellent and very stable with almost no flex. Stores in the front bin of a caravan as well.

Good luck.

Thanks Carlsp,

Will keep that in mind if I can't find one over here - freight would probaly be expensive.
would like it to go to about 3mtrs and yes it is for the Caravan - we are fulltime vanners and one in the boot would be very handy.

Thanks

Hullo Michelle,

I have this one I bought from a place in Victoria. They shipped it over.

Look on their website:

TXP Int'l

Scroll down to see the TL320. I actually rang them and they took a few dollars off and did not add postage. Excellent.

I'm in Mandurah too if you actually want to see it.

cheers

Hi Michelle

If it was good enough for Gone Bush, it was good enough for us. We ordered the same, although didn't get the same discount. This one takes the larger weights of the king sized fellows, whereas the cheaper versions from Kmart and auto discounters may only be OK up to 100 kgs.

Where i was happy to travel without a ladder, and borrow one occasionally to clean the solar panels, my husband wanted to be even more self sufficient. It hasn't been taken out of its box yet. Times we have needed a full ladder have been rare (like when we had a problem with the solar panels and had to replace them - we had no problem borrowing a big ladder).

I will second this one from GoneBush.

My father has one with his caravan and I have used it on occasions and found it to very stable with a solid feel to it. Further it packs down to an amazing small size for how big it can be at full extension.

ALDI had them in a few weeks ago - some stores may have some left.

I got mine from Bunnings.
I think it was about $295 12 months ago.
I forget the height, but 3.2m sounds about right.
Looks the same as one in pic in this thread

Michelle, if you are a lightweight, try Kmart (may only be when on special - a bit like Aldi do) and the Auto discount chain shops.

The TXP was delivered quite quickly. It takes a minimum of a week to get anything across from the eastern states.

In my travels I've noticed that Eastern states KMarts and Bunnings have a huge variety of stock that we never see in the same shops in WA.

I don't know if it's transport issues or not but it's really noticeable, particularly Bunnings.
