Sir Kev & Darkie
I am after another Battery to add to the Trak Shak and got a price today in
Chinchilla for the 105amp/h Supercharge Allrounder of $210.00
I also priced a SuperCharge Gold (N70 size) to replace the sad starter battery it was $154.00
Does anyone have any recent prices for these batteries??
Just wondering if they are a good deal or not.
Cheers Kev

Hi Kev. I purchased the 105 a/h allrounder recently and paid $220 so that sounds good for your price. Bob

Hi Kev, have you go a Cat dealer in your area. I have always used there batteries in my trucks, cars and machinery with very good results. Also I am pleasently surprised at how cheep they are, worth a look. Cheers Mick.

Hi Kev,
I'm on my second SuperCharge Classic: N70ZZL $150.00 at the time.
The first one drop a cell about 22 months into it's life.
Took it back to the dealer, no receipt, not a worry, they are stamped in the plastic case their age.
He swapped it over, no questions. They come with a 24 month warranty. at the time I asked what happens if this one craps itself, he said bring it back, 24 month warranty. Sweet as.
This one is about 12 months old, going strong. The old girl does a lot of start her up, drive a couple of k's turn her off. So the battery gets a fair work out.
Pretty happy with it.

Jon,
Darkies starter is getting a bit long in the tooth as he is only started once every few weeks if he is lucky. May need to get rid of the X trail and go back to one family car :)
Cheers Kev

Hey Kev,
Can you get hold of a Solar trickle charger that will keep the old girl topped up?
Because yeah, that's the other side of battery life, lack of use.

Kev
The All rounder price sounds about right.
Do you have a Battery World, nearby ?
I had to pay $205 in Alice for a new starer battery in alice last year, at Battery World there.
Cheers

HI. I paid $260 early this year for my 105amp/h Allrounder from a local dealer in Kadina. I think I got done. You learn don't you. Brian

Kev,
Is there a reason you're sticking to the Allrounder? I'm in the market for a new battery (combined starter/cyclic) which will replace my MRV50 Allrounder. I don't mind the Allrounder but am looking at other brands.
The one aspect I don't like about the Allrounder is the 12month warranty even though I got 3 years use out of
mine.
I'm looking at marine batteries which are more vibration resistant then car batteries and are designed for starter/cyclic duties and some have 24month warranties. They are also slightly cheaper then the car equivalent.

I had an All rounder in my previous vehicle and had a good run out of it :)
The Trak Shak has an 80a/h AGM so this will be used to supplement it.
Darkie has a Century N70ZZ 4WD starter and a Delkor 105a/h auxillary one.
So brands don't really worry me :)
Cheers Kev
