Hi
at present have a 7metre front wheel drive motorhome and seriously thinking of selling and buying a slide on camper,I know I will loose a lot of space, but hope to replace that with the ability to go a little off road (not too far)
Any suggestions with what I can look at I think I want a hard body not really into pop up and would look at a Isuzu as the largest base down to a 6wheel triton or similar

Steve, I have a Compass solid sided pop-top on a LandCruiser tray back and love it, a very versatile and capable unit which has been everywhere.
Six wheelers have draw backs in rough going unless they're driven, they don't call the tag axle "silly wheels" for nothing, you're better off putting bellows type air bags under or is it extra tray length you're going for ?
They haven't built the perfect campervan yet but in ten years I've learned to live with the reasonable cupboard space in a slide on, the more space you have the more junk you take with you.
Happy to answer any questions you have.
Rob

Hi Rob,
thanks for the reply I am looking for extra tray length as I also want my vehicle to be self supporting for quick getaways and it would be the base for
camping out

Hi Steven,
There are plenty of slideon campers available - all depends on your needs and budget!
We took about 12 months to look at the different makes and models, and decided on the Trayon Camper. Reasons included the track record and robustness, value for money, weight, features, Australian made, and five year warranty. We have had the Trayon now for nearly three years, and have been more than happy with the unit.
Certainly take your time and have a good look at the various offerings available.
Good luck!
Geoff
