Now that is what I call Toyota owner desperation for approval.
Showing a 16year old video.
A lot has changed since then AFAIR. Maybe like Disco3 and 4 being now judged the best.
Maybe numerous Toyota recalls, breaking front suspensions, using oil like
well diesel.
Tell the reliability story to the owners I met at Drysdale waiting weeks for new front
suspension parts , or they guy in
Broome for 6 yes 6 weeks waiting for parts.

Rangiephil,
Maybe a little harsh... The video could only be a maximum of 12 years old...

Yeah, you are right , 16 years was when the RR came out in 1994 , just after 80 series.
I later thought that the V8 cruiser only came later, (and then only 30 years after Range Rover.)
But by then the 38A Range Rover was
well on the way to obsolescence and not mourned by many.
Penalty of the Rangie being a pioneer, with full air
suspension which Cruiser still doesn't have.
Toyota is wise to be very conservative , but they still can stuff up as recently shown.
I just get sick of the smugness of someToyota owners. They are pretty ordinary to drive but usually up until recently were the most reliable. I can recall a very uncomfortable trip around SW WA in an 80 from the bloody bar under the passenger
seat. The person who owned it now has a Terrican which he thinks is a much better driving proposition and has been dead reliable.

Clarkson's humour and wit always gets a laugh out of me, however, as a test driver I dont hold much stock in his opinions.
One mans meat........another mans poison.
Cheers.....Lionel.
