Hi Everyone, your friendly pain in the rear is here!!!
Just a quick question to the hilux lovers, will a later model >1996 leaf sprung power steering pump, steeriing box, bolt straight onto a 82 hilux leaf sprung, being of the L motor config, theory says yes, my exprience says maybe???
the motor in my 82 has being changed to a 2Lfrom an L.
it's so my wife can drive my beast????

I dont think so, as I do know that the early diesels had a different length
water pump, so if you got the later one, the belts didnt line up.
No idea on the bolt locating holes, but I rekon you would run into issues with belt alignment.
Try outerlimits, much younger crowd there who modify their vehicles.

Ahh, just re read your post and missed that before.
If you can get the power steer from a 2.4 model, I do not know if the actual steering box uses the same mounts, but would assume that it does.
The rest should be an easy swap.
