Myall Lakes NP alt. route thru to Seal Rocks

HI,
There appears to be a sand track which veers off the main Mungo Brush - Seal Rocks road and comes in on the Yagon Rd.
How good is the main route?
How about the alternative track closer to
the beach?
Does it still exist? Is it passable? - Hilux 4wd, not towing anything.

There is now no way to get from Mungo Brush to Seal Rocks ( including
the beach ) unless you back track to the highway and go the normal way..
The old rutile rd has been closed for approx 5 yrs !!
