Can anyone recommend a good insurance company in NT. Daughter is having trouble getting cover Reason Under 25 (been driving since 18 no accidents and no infringements) and vehicle is parked under cover, but not in LUG at Durak.
Why dont we reward
young drivers that do the right thing?

My father was insured with TIO in the
Katherine flood and they were great. Highly recommended.

Try TIO they should be able to look after you. Just ask the people that were living in
Katherine during the Australia Day weekend floods some years ago. TIO paid out within days other companies never paid a cent.

TIO are very good but are not the cheapest.... but then they pay up no matter what, others don't. Tried other companies and had problems so happy to pay a little more to get the service.

Tio, is one of the only companies after doing a little research that covers all flood related damage as opposed to storm
water damage (there is a difference), no problems with TIO, always quick to pay and sort out a claim. Cheers

hi there we had our insurances with all diff mobs and simplified it by going to Elders in town and also got a discount for combining insurances. we now have home, car, business, public liability, income and personal injury. with them seem so good so far just another option for you to explore.

Nowadays there is no real reason to insure with a local provider. Most insurers are national anyway. An example is NRMA insurance being advertised to attract QLD policies.
Why can't she stay with her previous insurer?
I have been with AAMI for years and lived in WA, NT and QLD. All I ever do is update my address when I move.

TIO are good but I doubt that your daughter needs flood cover at Durack.... and they wont be the cheapest. and our last claim (only our second ever in 13 years) took two months to pay, meanwhile me driving around in car scraped up by husband at the servo and everyone thinking I couldnt drive.
Id also reccomend going to a broker.

Go AAMI, NRMA won't cover in NT. AMI has an office in
Darwin and of course the telephone, had recent claim here in Alice (missus hit a roo in a Barina) and no dramas from AAMi even thou they are 1500 k's away.
