Map Viewing Software

Mapping Software is used by several different types of Navigation Devices, including Laptops/Netbooks, Smartphones, Tablets, PDAs and all in one GPS Navigators (in off road mode).

Does anyone know where I can get firmware v5.12 for a Meridian Color GPS?

Note: v5.12 is not the latest version of firmware, it's an old version no longer available from the Magellan website.

This link has a variety of firmware versions.

Old Magellan firmware

There is not one labelled Meridian Colour V5.12 but there is one for Meridian Gold (down the near the bottom of the list - mgold_512.zip). I am lead to believe Meridian Gold firmware is the same as the Meridian Colour. I however take no responsibility if my memory serves me wrong.

If you are not game to try that one (mgold_512) I have a file in my collection called

mcolor512.hex

so if you provide your email adress I can email it to you. (2mb)

Further research indicates that meridan gold firmware is the same as the Platinum not the Colour so I was wrong - - DONT use the meridan gold firmware in your colour unit.

Sorry about that ....as mentioned I have copy for colour here if you need it.
