Just back and glad I got the chance to finally see theses amazing agriculture field days.

One thing I noticed was that most things were dearer than at caravan shows( can't comment about tractors, harvesters etc). There were a few portable solar panels and they were much dearer than in the city or at shows or on ebay.

I got to unknowingly meet the National Party candidate for New England Tim Coates. He offered to let me in front of him when I was scrounging a free snag sandwich from the Nationals. I thanked him and declined explaining that I couldn't sit with my hubby eating a steak sandwich with all those bulls looking at me eating their kin folk. He look at me bemused and must have thought "silly city slicker". There were 5 or 6 places selling steaks with the breed of cattle they were from tethered alongside the table and chairs.

We stayed at the showground on power for $20 per night. There were 3 toilets & showers for ladies and I think the same for gents. There was plenty of room in the outer area of the show ground but I believe no showers - you had to walk or drive into the other section.

For anyone considering visiting Agquip I would recommend the Showgrounds.

Hi Di
Glad you enjoyed yourself,i only arrived home this afternoon from Ag Quip.
Enjoyed myself as well including the approx 26kms of walking in the mud/slush to cover the site.We stayed out at the Mullaley pub with typical good country hospitallity [also has a basic caravan park at reat],have previously camped out at Lake Keepit but was interested in the showground for camps.
Also i was told by someone in the know that when one breed of cattle steaks ran out yesterday then a fresh stock was sourced from another breeds supply and in fact they where all mostly sourced from the 1 supplier that being Woolies
still the 3 differnt breeds i tried where all mouth watering but maybe we need to get the ACCC to investigate!
I too would recommend people put this show on their to see list ,my 2nd visit and might return next year again.
