Gday
As i am getting ready for a weekend away with a couple of other members, I decided to fit new speakers to the front doors on the Patrol. It was suggested by one member that I should fit
water proof speakers. I am not to sure what he eludes .
Just because I open the doors and
water flows out dose not mean it was deep enough to wet the speakers.
Water was over the bonnet , not over the speakers.

It pays to use
water proof speakers, if youv'e got
water up to speaker height in side I think you have sunk LOL.
Water also gets inside the door through the window seals when it rains and runs down inside and can rot the paper speaker, so if you use non
water proof speakers you need to seal them. You can put a plastic sheet over the back of the speaker then push the speaker through the hole that youv'e cut and trim off excess at speaker front. Happy swimming with your new speakers.
