Want to put an automatic in a HDJ79R Landcruiser ute,has anyone done this before and are there any traps to look out for.

jump onto "lcool" aust and check it out, most probally get an answer as it is specific to landcruisers

I have read something about this before. From memory the space is not large enough to install the Toyota auto box. Think the tunnel is just not large enough.
I probably read that on LCOOL. Being a Troopy owner I was researching the same thing you are.
