Have just bought a Jayco Camper Trailer and would like any suggestions for covering the air vents to prevent dust when travelling on dusty roads.

I use real estate corflute signs cut to size and fixed in with some duct tape
Maybe you will be able to find a
sign with your local hopeful politician on it and cut his/her head up, i m sure you will find one on a pole near you.

Thanks for that Bob, I like the duct tape idea. Velcro had been suggested to me but thought it would get dirty. Should be able to take the tape off and clean where it was. Think the pollies are saving their signs incase there is another election soon!

A scupper vent is the best choice, fitted to the roof and opened to the front it creates a positive pressure inside the camper as opposed to the vacuum created by towing it down the road. You shouldn't block the vents, they are there to let any gas escape from the interior and the ones on the fridge allow it to cool.

I just use the last beer carton I drank and some duck tape.
It adds character to the camper.

Hi all,
The beer carton over the bottom door vent is the go and duct tape. I also put half a Chux cloth over the top one to act as a filter and let air in or out.
I have also sewn 5 green scourers together, sewn sticky velcro tabs to one side and stuck velcros on the bottom fridge vent. This also acts as a filter and lets the air in too.
I washed the scourers in a bucket after 200 kms and there was a lot of dust. Not that much around the fridge workings as before I fitted the scourers. Thinking of putting another Chux around the scourers too.
