Anyone help with information about being able to see
water if you drive to the lake from Muloorina.

Hi Fred,
I was at
Level Post Bay (Via Muloorina) 3 weeks ago & there was no
water to be seen there then. If you get a chance to go to
Halligan Bay (from
William Creek) you should see
water & It's a nice place to
camp also. When I was there it looked like a beach setting as you came over the dune...... Had a full moon that night & the sunsets were magnificent too.

Well, we went there about 4 or 5 weeks back, and from Muloorina there was no
water to be seen in Lake Eyre south then.
But there was
water in Lake Eyre north, the William Ck side. We walked about 200 metres from the banks to the
water.
Cheers
Brian

Hi Fred, when are you going? Muloorina is currently closed as are many other roads in the area. Check the National Parks website as it gives good updates on where the
water is as does the
Lake Eyre Yacht Club site. Google will help you.

hi, i'm not sure where about you are talking of exactly, but 10 days ago we were staying at
Roxby Downs and drove up the Bourfield track, then onto the
Oodnadatta track to see Lake Eyre South at the viewing area and there was definitely
water there (and a fair bit), we walked to near the
water but it got to boggy to get to the
water's edge, but at least we can say we have seen the great lake with
water in it. enjoy, it's worth it from chris.
