Will the front diff centre from 75 series Troopy's fit into the front diff of the current 78/79 series Troopy's?

My reason for this question is firstly, my 75 series Troopy is accident damged write-off and secondly it has a Detroit Locker fitted in the front diff and I'm wondering if I should remove the diff centre to fit into the new 78/79 series Troopy.

Thanks
Rod

More info needed on the age and model of the 75 and the age/model of the 78/79. There are differences between them but it depends on age.

Peter,

My 75 series was born in 1993 RV Troopy with the 1FZ-FE 4.5lt donk. I'm looking at the current Troopy 2008 onwards with the 4.5lt V8 diesel.

I doubt it the later diffs had the high cut pinion diff similar in size to the hilux and the old 75's had a full size diff.

Dave,

That rings a bell as when I had the diff lock installed the installers said the front diff centre is/was the same as the Hilux's at the time.

Dave aren't the later ones the same?
Prior to 1990 they had afull size front diff but with the advent of the 1HZ they went to the smaller one.
Don't know whether there have been any further changes.
Lots of drivetrain parts changed with the arrival of the 5 stud wheels and the coill front ends.
Bearings, seals etc that have been the same since the 70's are now different.
