This is what you want -
Camp Oven Mate
Allows you to use any
camp oven on gas and still cooks as though coals had been placed on top.

Hi,
I'm not sure if you're after a gas fired
camp oven (as in dutch oven) but if so Hillbilly have a kit to make their's heated by gas instead of coals - see link:
Hillbilly Camping Products
or if you are after a traditional oven that will work with a gas/dual fuel stove Coleman have one - see link:
Coleman Camp Oven
cheers
Jeff

Hi Lee,
we have a coleman oven (as per Jeff B's link) and have found it really good.
It folds up so can be stored easily. We have cooked roasts, cakes, muffins, scones, pasta bake and pizza without drama.
Cheers

I'd second the option of the hillbilly equipment. I've had some for many years and still going strong. (No affiliation with them, but very happy user). Ian

You may have seen the Jackaroo one on special in the Kmart catalogue, gas oven with two stovetop burners. I was also looking at these and found a few old threads on this site. Only one person mentioned owning one but they were happy with it. What I'd like to know (if someone could enlighten me) is there a way of using it inside a caravan - eg; if you had a flue to outside at the vent?

Hi Lee,
When I saw the catalogue article for the K Mart one,we went into have a look.
It looked o.k but a bit cumbersome to pack in the camper.
The oven seals didn't look very good.
As chance would have it some one close by said that the doors don't seal in the heat to
well and suggested that we go for the Coleman oven as already mentioned.
We have bought one but as yet have found that we need two shelves , not just the one that they come with.
You can buy another one but hubby is going to adjust a cake cooler & see if that works.
Then there is the Hillbilly as previously mentioned, but quite bulky.
Take care, safe travels, Ma.

Thanks everyone for your input. A unit like the Jackaroo is what we had in mind and will probably go that way. We like to do most of our cooking outside the van.
May have to do something with the door seals.
Cheers all
Lee
