Just wondering if anyone has taken the track that runs from Burke to
Tibooburra, it leaves just north of burke and runs west where it meets up with the silver city hwy. Dont know much more about it other than it runs through
Wanaaring. just wanted to know what the road condition is like? Thanks

Ken,
We did the trip last winter (other way round though) The road is OK with not a lot of interesting features and several detours around the wet areas. I did manage to bog the policeman from
Wanaaring which is another story.

Ive been on the road twice in the past couple of years...The worst bit is nearer to
Bourke, quite sandy and corrugated. I found the
Wanaaring -
Tibooburra section pretty good in comparison. Take it easy if its wet though, we were in 4wd & doing it tough from
Wanaaring towards
Bourke after heavy rain(we detoured down to
Louth which wasnt much better)
Dont forget to have a beer at
Wanaaring (the outback Inn).....Cheers
