Just wanting to know if the T max 9500 lb winch is just as good and strong as the leading brand ones,Warne,ox ect. Price is roughly $4oo cheaper than warne xd 9000 and thought they might be worth a try. Just new 2 the 4x4 scene and help would be appreciated.

they all come from the same chinese factory.

brawn water proof and modify the ones they sell, based on the 4x4 Aust article, the tmax was the better of the 3

Yes. T-MAX and the TJM OX are identical. (Except for the sticker).

I've just helped a mate fit one up to his Cruiser...

The construction quality isn't bad! In fact, when we pulled the motor off, to look at the input gearing, the quality of construction would easily be the same as a superwinch/warne.

The only thing I'd do is put a lock-out mechanism on, as you can jerry-rig the winch to operate without the controller. This is a simple thing to do, as you open the solonoid pack, disconnect the power or ground feeds and plumb in a relay, so that you can isolate the unit permenently until needed.

Regards,

Chris
