Hi Sharon
Started here in Clare around lunch time and has been raining on and off with some very heavy shower since then. From the rain that has fallen, I would have thought that we would have had more. One extremely heavy downpour lunchtime had 11.7mm of rain in fifteen minutes and up until now ( 5 hours later ) we have had a total of 25.8mm and it has just started to bucket down again.

Keeping dry and thinking of all those people that will be stranded up north.

Cheers

Stephen

Just an update,
It is still less than 24 hours since it has started raining here in Clare and we have had 68.1mm of rain and it is still coming down. All the creeks are flowing a banker and even the usually dry creek in front of our house is really running. We are told it is going to keep up like this until about Wednesday next week.

Cheers

Stephen

And rain it dd!

Lots of records set across SA yesterday I imagine.

Leigh Creek a standout. 97mm since 9am yesterday. Its annual average is just 218mm. Previous highest September rainfall day was 34mm.

Where I am in northeast Adelaide, we had 37mm. Previous highest September rainfall day was 27mm.

Probably most amazing thing is the fact it was significant across the board. 44mm in Whyalla, 51mm in Loxton etc

Cheers

It is continuing on to the east and intensifying

It looks like in Melbourne we are in the eye of a hurricane right now.

Ahh Robin
984hp would be called a cyclone up here. This system is like the last one a couple of months ago moved so quickly. Its predicted to pick up over bass straight. Look out NZ. Earth Quakes then this system. If any one cares its over cast no wind beautiful in Toowoomba.

Recent rain falls in the Northeast Pastroal was varied some were 50 some places in the outer got over 100 and it's back Wed. Check elders weather SA 28 days for the Northeast Pastoral and it shows rain expected about the same as this month most of the properties up here are well and truly over 300 for their yearly rainfall. Face it the areas wet .

hi, we are at Cowell on the Eyre Peninsular and we have had very bad winds today and nasty gusts, it eased off around and the wind is just normal wind and the stars are out, so it looks like we are finally out the other side of it, yesterday we came over from Venus Bay and got stuck at Elliston waiting for the power to come on for 2 1/2 hours so we could get fuel as the whole Peninsular had a power cut because of the weather, there was a lot of water on the roads. chris.

The wind wasn't bad either.

This is where I spent my Father's day morning working in Adelaide:
