Canning Stock Route - 2010

My second trip down it- (first for the wife) my 1st trip was 1992 ... we had a great time (just the two of us till our son in law & his mate caught up with us at Durba ).
Wife took silk flowers & put them on the graves - sentimental journey for her - her father was a drover & probably came down CSR in the late 30's .
We had Durba springs to ourselves on the first of our three nights there , and had Pierre springs alone to our little group as well .....sad to see a lot of the Gard's signs have been stolen (hanging in some losers shed so he can show his mates how clever he is ).
A few dingo's getting too camp friendly - you shouldn't feed them .
What a great trip we had - a lot of top travellers out there "doin' it".
cheers

Hi Lizard,

Glad you had a great trip down the CSR; it surely is a terrific journey.

I read with interest that you wife's father came down the Canning as a drover. I'm researching the CSR and would be keen to know his name. I've already got a lot of names and drover info, but maybe not his.

cheers

Phil
There is a lot of difference between
‘Human Being’ and ‘Being Human’.

Great to hear of your successful and obviously enjoyable trip.
It's good to hear of people that treat CSR with the respect it truly deserves!
But sad about the theft and abuse from the limited few who don"t care for anyone but themselves.
