Hi all, I have a cf-18 as a second fridge for day trips etc... I was wondering if anyone has a decent suggestion of how to fit tie-down points on the little fridge? The Cf-50 I have has good handles for the job but not much on the 18. Can you just drill into the body to fit a bracket?
Cheers

Hi, you could try FASTY straps available at Bunnings they are made in sweden and have a 300kg breaking stain, Ive had my 110l Weaco strapped down with them for years.
Cheers

I wouldn't try the top part of the fridge due to insulation and piping issues. The bottom dark
grey part contains most of the inner workings of the fridge and would be a better option to investigate. You can take off the bottom section with the dozen screws located underneath and access the section easily. From memory there is a metal plate on the bottom which may be possible to utilise. I would also look at using the 4 rubber feet as some
anchorage point possibly :)
I tend to go with the easier option of strapping it down with a rubber stretch strap or a cam-buckled 25mm strap....something easy to undo to access the beaut little fridge.
Hope that helps,
Andrew
