Bear with me mates as I come from the 'pit' type
toilet heritage. Then in the army it was the pit & burn type. Now with the kind of Roman invented sewerage system, I am still in the dark about how to load my toile the first time. Fool instruction booklet covers only adding fresh
water. Could find no real mention of how to add chemicals. Seems the pink one is mainly scent for top tank. Other one for bottom receiver tank.
Mine is FCM-PTTF-B for up to fifty (50) flushes.Waste holding tank 20Ltrs. Help

Rocky...sorry can't help you with your question but I must commend you on your ability to withhold the urge long enough to post a question on the
forum.
I would have had "an accident" by now.
Fab.

Hi Rockyone
We have a different brand, but same capacity as yours. If you go to the local
camping supplier and purchase the 'chemicals' it will tell you how much to add to your bottom tank (no pun intended). It just says x amount of chemicals for x amount of tank capacity. Add it straight into your recieving tank, with a bit of
water to activate it.
Having said that, there are many on here that recommend using 'no-name' napisan, something I am yet to try, but keen on the idea. I think Motherhen has the 'recipe' and swears by it.
Funny one, Fab...lol
Cheers, Dave

Why not try using no chemicals at all. If you are going to empty it every day or two, it's a lot kinder to the environment - and you can empty it into drop, composting, and septic
toilets as
well.

Rocky-one (and for Rocky two's)
I researched Exploroz and found a wealth of information in these threads. Use "porta potti" as your key words.
Based on information I found here we do not use chemicals at all; We use Nappisan. One or two capfuls with some
water in the bottom tank and then one capful per number two. Works great, is much kinder to the environment and leaves zero smell.
In my top tank I do a squert or three of our biodegradable dishmashing liued; It keeps the sides of the bowl nice and slippery and also jelps break dow the fat.

There are frequent and numerous threads here, one only a few days ago, on using the generic nappy soakers (Sodium Percarbonate 34%) effectively and harmlessly.
Hi RockyOne
I'm sure all portable
toilets are similar. Do NOT use the old chemicals which were based on Formaldehyde. Read previous posts on using the sodium percarbonate nappy soaker products.
There is no need to use anything in the flushing tank other than
water. That is all i use at home and on the road. If adding anything to the flushing tank, it needs to be compatible with what is being used in the cassette.
As Tony Lee says, if you are emptying frequently, using nothing extra works and cassette can then be emptied with a clear conscience into long drops and
public toilets where dump points are not available, or buried with the constraints of normal
camping etiquette.
