Part of the "Outback Way", the Plenty Highway is the most direct route from central Queensland across to Alice Springs in central Australia.

We travelled the Plenty on the 14th and 15th August. Road is in average to poor condition on the NT side with the worst parts being between the Gemtree and Jervois. Road has been damaged by vehicles after wet weather. There are 2 road gangs working on upgrading the road in this stretch.

Tobermorey to Boulia is in great condition having been recently graded. There was barely a corrugation.

Thanks for the Info David. Have you thought about updating the "Road Cionditions" section with this info. I've used it this year and it's very easy. Just go into the Road conditions section of the Exploroz homepage and select Queensland, then select "Outback roads". The list will appear so scroll down till you find the Donohue/Plenty and click on it. It will open and allow you to add your comments.

It's a great facility and ensures that your info doesn't disappear as it gets further down the list.
