hi there
I have got an old Toyota Hiace Commuter, ex hostel bus and I am
building
camping usable freaky furniture inside.
Was wondering if somebody knows, where to get a solution for:
kitchen sink, have a plastic box in a hole of a timber board, will drill a hole for
water release. where get I something, cheap, to connect a hose to that hole.
Shower base/tray, I am looking for a cheap base, about 500x500mm, I know its small, but it should suit backpackers.
90cm bed frame, I like to give a third person a bed, hinge-attached on one side above the windows. Where could I find a metal bed frame that small, and cheap?
any info appreciated
thanks

We're also doing some renovations at the moment, refitting an old caravan. I've recently been looking at shower cubicles/bases, but only wanted something around 600x600. It's difficult - and very expensive - to get shower bases that small as they're especially designed for caravans which immediately adds $. We also wanted something a bit deeper for the kids to be able to bath in.
We've ended up going with an acrylic laundry tub, 585x550mm and 600mm deep, perfect for what we're looking for and $37 second hand off ebay. Maybe think outside the square and you might find that a 'sink' will suit for a shower base?
Good luck.

have you thought of fixing some plywood down and screwing some timber around the edge and fibreglassing over it . . .you would need to give it a good sand to get the rough bits off . . .then a coat of epoxy paint that way you can have whatever size you want.

thanks for you ideas
an acrylic sink, that would do it!
Yes, fiber glass would be possible, haven't worked with it that intense, yet.
My other Matilda camper is made out of fiber, I should start to get to know it better. I would like to build a base but its just to time consuming. There is so much other stuff to do.
