Hi all,

Just wondering if anybody has had any experience with the recovery stuff from Supercrap auto. I bought a winch extension strap for $31 (reduced from $62) because I couldn't resist the price. It looks alright (the stitching and webbing). They also sell a hand winch that looks virtually identical to the ARB magnum hand winch (although I already have a Tirfor, so I'm not looking for any winches). Just looking for opinions.

Cheers.

Hi Mudripper,

Not sure if their gear is any good these days, however I bought a Snatch Strap from them years ago and have used it three or four time over the last ten years and it worked each time.

Regards
Geoff

Just a quick note - All this gear must meet MIN requirements set by Australian ISO requirements ( would prob fall into lifting gear ) from mem it has to be factor of 7

Not saying it is good or bad - but as a large multinational company they must comply to ADR rules

Also forgot to mention I bought an 8t snatchblock from them 2 yrs ago. It's been used heavily a number of times and no probs. They don't look much different from what you would get for twice the $. I think the bow shackles, straps etc have Australian Standards numbers printed on the packaging, so they are compliant.

Cheers everyone.

I bought 2, 8 ton snatch blocks a couple of years ago & have put a lot of weight several times on 1 no problem don't think I ever reach 8 ton so they won't break. The snatch straps where tested in a 4x4 mag and are better than some leading brands. If the D shackles have a stamp on the packet and not the shackle I personally would throw them. Black Rat shackles have been tested to be the strongest or buy stamped ones from lifting supplier.
