Strange patterns in landscape

I was was looking at google earth and came across this very strange circular pattern and was wondering if anyone knew what it was or what it may be about or what may have caused it .

from the GPS coordinates its between Lghtning Ridge and Grawn so I would say opal mining is on the button

When you zoom in and scale it off they are abt 20-30 m across.
Initially I thought it was something to do with the nearby farming which looks like irrigated cotton in that area.
Looks as though there is a tail drain leading to a storage dam there as
well could be dumped earth from irrigation channels or ?
Could be someone making cotton circles.
The road just to the north east is the

Goodooga Road

It is approx southwest of
Lightning Ridge. If you zoom out when you following link above you can get a better perspective on the surrounding land. I have been to several Opal mining areas but have not seen anything so regular due to opal mining.

It might be leftover dirt/rubble from a drilling rig.
It's the only thing I can think of unless someone from up in space is using good old mother earth as target practice with a big laser....(time for more wine I think :-)))
