There are a couple of old
forum threads about finding copies of the 1985 movie "Burke and Wills" starring Jack Thompson, Nigel Havers and Greta Scacchi. There are copies of the VHS video around still, but the film loses a lot in 4:3 video format. The National Film and Sound Archive are re-mastering a 35mm version of this historic movie for re-release next year, and a DVD/Blu-Ray version will be available then too. Watch
Burke and Wills 150thwebsite for more information.

The 150th website is trying to track all Burke and Wills 150th Commemoration events. The Queensland Museum Exhibition, the Plant
Camp, the Bush Tele programs we know about. But we're not aware of any commemorative events happening any further north than
Balranald. Anyone out there hear of anything happening further north along the track, please let us know....
