I used Yokohama super diggers for about 10 years on my prev Paj and they were good,,, quiet but they had a problem with going out of round.

Switched to Geos and no problems except noisier on bitumen, to the extent that it annoyed me at times.

Trust this helps Baz

I had Yokahama Super Diggers on for just 1 or 2 years, blew 2 on the first GRR excursion.
I was advised by a all tyre stores in Kununurra because they have textile sidewalls and not steel, they are prone to blow-outs on rough, corrugated roads, so I replaced them with steel and have not had a blow-out since, maybe I was just lucky or unlucky, depending on how you look at it, but I've done 3 GRR trips since :)

Had those same tyres on my Mits. Challenger for 80,000km, includung about 20,000 km towing a 1.7t caravan. had no trouble with them, but on the recommendation of the dealer went for Geo's HT this time as we rarely go offroad.Have had this set for only 16,000km, no sign of any wear yet, and drive well.

Hi Friar. 275/65 will be too big in circumference for your model Prado. The 120 series have 265/65-17. Bob

You may all swat me with a fly swat if I'm wrong ...
275 = Section Width in mm so that's not making the tyre higher.
65 = Sidewall Aspect Ratio which will be the same
17 = Wheel diameter,...UNCHANGED

So basicly the all he's doing is going wider by 10mm, not higher.

They may rub on full lock....put one on and see!!! I have had the Geo 12's on for 20,000km without a problem......check the load rating though. I have 18" wheels so limited to what I can buy but if I had 17's I would fit BFG T/A without hesitation.

G`day Friar,
I ran Yoko Super Diggers for 3 sets and never got less than 80,000 km from any set.
They are no longer available, so just prior to my recent excursion to Wiluna I fitted new Yokohama Geolander GO12`s, 31-10.5- 15 A/T-S, paid $200 each.
I travelled the Anne Beadell Hwy, The Canning SR, The Garry Junction Rd, The Simpson Desert and the Birdsville Track.
9200 K`s all up and no tyre issues at all, plenty of other problems but not with tyres.
I actually reckon they are better on wet bitumen than the Super Diggers were.

Regards,

Scrubby.

I use Yokohama's, got 2 of them from Bob Jane Tyres, I had a little problem with one , something caused a small crack in the sidewall, Yokohama has a Hazard Warranty, make sure you keep your reciepts, mine was replaced free of charge.

I'm running a set of Geolander A/T-S on the Patrol at the moment. Done around 15000ks, outback Queensland no trouble.

Supposedly they will get 100 000ks (previous models/patterns did not)
Pats tyres (I don't know if its them or Yoko) offer free puncture repair for life of tyre. If un repairable, replace free to a certain wear mark, than pro rator from there. eg, if half worn than half price new tyre.

Price a month ago was $220.00. Bought two more.
