Intending to buy a RV 2006 in the near future, if anyone can help with these details I would be very appreciative.
I am building a trailer and need some help with measurements. I need the width measurement from the outside of the hub face to the outside of the hub face on the other side of the rear axle. (where the mags bolt on to the diff ).
Also the inside measurement of the (mag) face (INSIDE) that bolts on to the hub to the inside rim.
Please couid you also help with the size of the mags and tyres used on the RV.
With Thanks

Gday Bill,
The track measurements for a 2006 HDJ79RV are 1475mm front, and 1460mm rear. As the RV alloy
wheels are zero offset, it follows that the distance between the hub faces will be the same measurement.
The wheel backspacing is around 115-120mm.
The factory mags were 16x7. Factory tyres were 265/70R16 although every owner I know upsizes the tyres to 265/75R16 so you can then fit a wider range of LT tyres.
The mags cost a mint from Toyota. But there are aftermarket copies such as Speedy "Territory" mags that will set you back about $200-250. The main difference with the aftermarket copies is that they use the standard wheel nuts while your RV mags will use the longer factory alloy wheel nuts.
If you want to use 285/75R16 tyres, which is what I run, best
wheels are the factory 16x8 105series
wheels which are the same stud pattern and offset.
Cheers
Phil

"The mags cost a mint from Toyota"
Was quoted $1,045 per wheel for two
wheels (no tyres) last week. This changed my mind from going from six factory
wheels to eight.
