Hi all,
I am planning to go South to Cheynes Beach near
Albany for a fishing/
camping trip with 7 mates late September.
We are mostly amateur fishermen and will be happy to catch only a couple of fish between us all, but i am concerned that the sandy ground will not be sturdy enough to hold the tent pegs.
Has anyone camped there before in a place where we can set up as close to
the beach as possible, but on a grassed/partiallly grassed area?
We are looking for a more secluded spot where we can have a couple of beverages and not bother anybody else with our galavanting and noise.
Cold anyone provide directions to a good spot?
Thanks in advance
Lee

Mate the mount baker fishing club have a great spot that you can
camp at there is some grass and old
shack and a fresh

Drive in on
the Bluff creek turn off about 3 or 4 km past the Cheynes beach turn off. Plenty of room to
camp behind first dunes - lots of grassed areas - fishing is good in the season.
Beaches can be soft or hard. Track in will tell you whether you will make it on the beaches.

Well thanks guys.
Bluff Creek seems like the perfect possie for us.
Can any fishing nuts tell me what the best Lures will be for beach fishing there. I'll go out and buy a couple?
Cheers,
Lee.

Well that is a big open ended question. If you want to be sure to catch fish there is a lot more than just putting a lure in the
water. Any lure 'may' catch a fish.
What sort of fish are you targeting. What sort of gear are you using. How
well can you cast - depends on which fish you will find. When you get to
the beach what are the conditions - blowy, lots of seaweed, onshore or offshore winds, are you night fishing.
I need a bit more to go on.
