12 volt wiring for a coromal pop top caravan

I am basis of my thoughts on a 70's York we owned. The old van had 2 lights with a 12 volt and 240 volt globes each with a switch. If I was to update on such a van I would follow the following .........First take a look at some of the modern vans which are set up to run on 12 volt lighting. We now own a little A'Van which is what I would use as a guide. Replace the 12 volt globes with L E D lights...have the 240 volts connected to a smart charger so that your lighting is always 12 volts...if you have this 240 volts connected to a double socket you can connect you 3 way fridge to the other socket.
I HOPE THIS MAKES SENCE. I feel the good thing about these systems ,is that you only have LOW voltage wires running through the van.

Mount the battery in a box on the drawbar or wherever you may want to remembering that an acid filled one must be open to the atmosphere.
Run the appropriate size wire to an anderson plug at the rear of vehicle for charging via a duel battery system ( that is another question you can ask later) then simply run wires from the battery to a plug to matches (7pin flat or round) the one on the van and plug it in after you have unplugged it from the car there you go power to your lights providing the aux. wire is in the van with all things being equal that should be there as they have been wired that way for a lot longer than 1989.
