Hi all

Am hoping for some help in choosing a winch for our Landcruiser with factory winch bullbar. What are the best brands? Which ones best suit our car? Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Best manfacture for electric winches is WARN. For a 100 series you would want something like a 9.5 XP.

The Superwinch X9 that Toyota sells is good as well (I have one on my 100) but they are slower than the WARN units.

Make sure you get a isolator switch on the winch power supply so you can disable the winch when it is not being used.

Also don't forget to get some training on how to safely use the winch as well

Take into consideration that Warn only hav 12 months warranty and if you get it wet and hav issues your on your own.Tigerz winches come with a 3 year warranty, and people are having great results, also look at the Premier winch too..

Gee i wished i'd listen to myself instead of listening to others, forking out $2400 on a useless Warn 9.5 XP winch....Once you start talking about it to others you realise what a let down and especially this model is...

never again..

Bag for buck I use the Ironman 12000lb on my 100. It is probably the only ironman product I will actually recomend. This is the second vehicle it has been on, pulled the old bogged 80 series and the 22ft boat on trailer off the beach and many a tree stump. Warn is always good but the cost is just too much for me.

I would get the Premier. Its a chinese made winch but is pulled apart and reassembled in oz replacing the chinese parts that are likely to fail.
Consistantly gets high marks in comparisons
