Old Mal
I have a 2003 V6 Petrol Jackaroo 7 seater SE Wagon. Are
long range fuel tanks available for this vehicle as I find I'm only getting approx 600km on a country run from the existing 85L fuel
tank. Just love the vehicle but would like to have a better driving range.
Cheers - Old Mal (and gettin older each day, so I'm in a hurry now !)

Hi Mal
Have looked into this myself, but couldn't remember the place I checked out. A quick google came up with
THIS, there were many more there if you want to check google out with '
long range fuel tanks 4wd'
Cheers, Dave

Thanks Dave,
I've sent the obligatory emails to the fuel
tank suppliers asking for prices & availability

Hi Mal. I got
mine fitted in about 2001 and all the majors had them. I got
mine from 4WD Systems, in
Adelaide and I wouldn't go near them again. They were the cheapest and their service was good, but each time they caused a breakdown it was,
Hawker, Pedirka Track,
Gibb River Rd,
Innamincka, etc. Now when I went back to them each time they were good and refixed each problem, but the problems were caused by them or their employees and stuffed a couple of trips, with rediculously stupid faults. Last time we had the tanks out at
Derby, after being towed from Barnett River Roadhouse, on the Gibb, we had a large magnet put in the main
tank and I still change the fuel filter each service as it has signs of rust.
It is very handy to be able to carry 205 litres, but stay away from those people.
Happy
trails, Mike.

G'day Mal, they certainly are available. I got my 140L one off a EO member at a great price. It does make a big difference to touring. We now get 8-900ks
towing a C/t with plenty of margin....oldbaz.
