Hi all,

I'm looking at buying a battery charger for both batteries for boat and camping I will purchase soon.
I have a Century Marine 400 (56M) battery for the boat (40hp). And looking at buying an AGM battery (either around 18ah to 36ah).

CTEK xs7000 looks like the charger I will buy. Can anyone recommend or advise this would be the best and most suitable or is there other model/brand that suits better for my needs?

I hope to hear from you and thank you.

Regards

Hi Timmy

u can't go wrong with a CTEK - brilliant chargers.

Have you considered the CTEK M200? It's a little more expensive, but comes with a five year warranty...

My vote goes to a Ctek xs7000..I have one for my boat with duel batteries. My starter is a wet cell 100amp and the 2nd battery is a AGM 100amp.. The xs 7000 does the job for me can return my AGM battery from 50% discharged back to full health over nite..The CTEK keeps em fully charged ready to go all the time...good charger...bit pricy though

just be wary of warranty issues if not bought thru an accredited agent

4wdextreme does look good and I saw it the other day but like Watts2c - a little concerned about the warranty issues if it does happen.

Mainey, this is from the other thread:

"....what battery charger should I be looking at to charge it at home as it is the likely place where I will charge it. "

Andrew,
My reply is to this thread -> " Battery charger I should buy for boat & camping "

Central Coast Timmy asks:
"I'm looking at buying a battery charger for both batteries for boat and *camping* I will purchase soon.... CTEK xs7000 looks like the charger I will buy" I assumed he would be using the charger when 'camping' as he says he wants to buy for boat and camping.

Hi guys,

I'm sorry if I did not explain it properly - being deaf & sign, I can sometimes don't explain things clearly.
The battery charger will be for at home only to charge both boat and small battery pack for camping (fluro light use).

As for going camping where there is no power - I have no idea how I will power up but will have to learn more about powering up small battery pack (18ah to 36ah) from the car. Any ideas?

Sorry for confusion
