Has anyone had a look at the "Top 10 Australian Tracks" on the Garmin web site ?
Have you noticed that Kosciuszko NP is now located near Bourke, Warrambungles are now at the Barrington Tops, Cape Otway is at the bottom end of Western Port Bay, and the Blue Mountains are now at Pt Stephens
I hope their gps's work better than the web site. !!!!!!!!!

LOL I see what you mean. In Qld the Bartle Frere track is only 1400km out ;)

It would be good if they provided the (walking) tracks to download rather than an inaccurate glimpse at the location.

hi
wa is a real balls up to
thier showing purnululu/ bungle bungles np at sharks bay

kalbarri np at carnarvon

bluff knoll/stirling ranges near albany is shown half way between esperance and norseman

cape to cape walking track between yallingup and augusta is shown half way between ravensthorpe and esperance

how misleading and totally stupid of them to put facts like that on world wide web within their own site and there does'nt seem to be any way of making contact with them on the garmin site
perhaps they blindfold a staffer and give them a hand full of darts
and she'l be right mate

More than likely an american website designer who was working with what they knew about our country :)

I wouldn't say that it reflects on their GPS technology at all rather an error by the website development section to check the validity of the output.

Hi res.q.guy

Qld is probably even worse. 1 right out of 5.

All tracks shown as SE Qld. including, Thorsborne (Hinchinbrook Is NQ), Bartle Frere (Babinda N.Q.) Whitsundays (Off Mackay NQ). Border Ranges shown out west near Inglewood instead of much nearer the Coast.

I do have a Garmin, so perhaps that is why I get some funny GPS locations at times.
