Hi All At E Oz
For anyone interested in gold detecting there will be a program on National Geographic channel (610) at 8.30 pm wst on Gold Detecting around Kalgoorlie/Boulder. Also a insight into the somewhat risqu'e side of the the documentary follows a skimpy at one of the local watering holes.Image Could Not Be Found

It must be fairly old - the skimpies were covered up in kalgoorlie years ago and very rigerously policed by bored officers with nothing better to do

There are still skimpies in Kal - was there last week. I didnt of course go in for a look :) They are not allowed to reveal all if thats what you mean, but they are still "skimpies".

Hi

I have seen the "real" skimpies and I know what you mean. Been to Kal lots of times and even worked there for a while back in late 80's. I was just pointing out that current ones are still "skimpies" so your statement "It must be fairly old" in reference to the documentary staring a Skimpy did not make sense to mel. No big deal.

its amazing how the gold has been melted between the cortz by the forces of nature
makes one wonder where the other pieces are that appear to have broken off off it
its an intriguing metal with great rewards for the determined finder
