Hi All

Just got back from Kununurra, and as always went through Halls Creek, onto the Tanami, over to Billiluna, then back tracks to Mulan.

They are mustering at Billiluna at the moment, and there have been new tracks graded to allow trucks (road trains) in on the CSR for a few km's to Lake Stretch (Nyarna). This was because some recent rains have done some horrible damage to the CSR at the back of Billiluna.

Advise to stay within the new graded area, as the washouts and ruts will damage vehicles. There has been quite an amount of rain in between the CSR and Mulan (Lake Gregory), the roads are very soft and boggy, so please travel carefully.

Cheers

I'd second that reccomendation Marc - after being there a few weeks ago during the rains.

Don't know if the bypasses are better marked now - but they were being hastily built when we were there and we missed one that was 9km long because of track confusion and no signs.

Even the grader got bogged and at one point Howard, in the front of our little group hit a submerged hole left by a grader wheel.

Was 95km of mostly submerged mudholes ruts and big expanses of water which cost the rear brakes of some cars amongst other minor damage.

Hi Robin

You have my apologies for not posting earlier, as I knew what was happening. It just gets tiresome when I post and someone then comes along and says I am on some kind of soap box.

I did it this time purely because the amount of damage, and detours, means people really need to drive carefully, and stay on the new roads, or get their vehicles damaged.

Cheers
