Hey guys
Just wondering if anyone is willing to suggest great
places to
camp west of
Melbourne.
Ideally, I'd like running
water for fishing...and hot showers...and a reasonable price.
I'm looking 'bush' rather than 'beach'.
Thanking you in advance for any assistance.
Regards
Tats

Oway National
park has some great spots and good fishing. Check out the
Park Victoria website. I've camped at Beauchamp, moggs
creek, and Stevenson falls. Don't think they had hot showers though.
Otherwise further west towards
Hamilton is
Grampians Nat
Park. You'll find everything you need.

Depends upon what you call fishing. I love hitting the McKenzie in the
Grampians. Classic "twig"
water, small trout, hard fishing, great fun. Although a couple of weeks ago it was running a little high! Got one "take" all day, no catches! All on fly, of course.
Camping options are innumerable (
well almost) but hot showers are ony available in Hallls
Creek. The caravan
park used to let you use the showers for a small fee. Or you could simply stay in the
park, but why would you with great campsites all around!
Cheers,
Mark
