Hello, I am considering to purchase the latest NAVAR STX which has a new common rail 140kw Diesel Engine & a whopping 450NM of torque . It appears to only be in the STX & it is the same motor as the current latest Pathfinder.
Has anyone got one with this motor & can give some feedback regarding towing performance & fuel economy. '
cheers
Don

This very interesting as I have been watching this Navara D40 as well...nissan have increased the common rail pressure to 30,000 psi...up from 20,000 psi to achieve these results and have spoken to one owner already who has only travelled 15000 k's so far and he has had no issues or concerns generally and is suitably impressed with its performance and economy....I am soon to retire and I am looking to a dual cb with a steel tray etc.
Be ready for the knockers but...they will swoop soon...lol.
There is a good thread on caravannersforum woth looking at.....

Think its 4wd action Don , compares it unfavourably to highlux nearest equivalent in terms of fuel use and general bushability.

Good article actually.

I subscribe so mag may not be in the shops for day or two ? - but it could have been in the current 4X4 australia mag.

I have the older model D40 (2008 STX auto) and if this new model is half as good as mine has been thus far then it will be a great ute. I now have 50000km and apart from the heap of aftermarket fruit I've fitted ..... not spent anything on it other than fuel and servicing.
