Hi all,
Sometime ago (3 weeks) I posted athread asking for help with a whirring problem I was having with my Pathfinder R51, several memebers offered some helpful advice which was greatly appreciated.
To those members who offered advice and anyone else who may be interested the problem has been identified and solved.
It turned out to be the timing chain tensioner bearings.
It took Nissan 6 days to identify and fix the problem, they had three false starts replacing various bits and pieces before they got it right.
But it is all good now.
Thanks to those members who offered advice on this problem.

Good to see it all worked out in the end. As I said at the time, running the engine without the accesory belts on can hep diagnose the noise if it is still evident. If so I would have gone straight down into that area. regards,Bob

Thanks for your input Bob, I was just glad to get the damn thing fixed, the noise was starting to drive me even crazier than I already am.
Good result all round.
