I pick up the new Hyundai Terracan tomorrow at lunch time and am hooking up the
Camp-O-Matic camper trailer and heading for Victoria on Thursday. Keep an eye out for a
sandstone Terracan towing the camper with "BN" (NSW) black and white number plates and we will have a cold homebrew together. I will have plenty on board. Rough plan of trip is straight to Euchca or
Ballarat or
Bendigo and then to the
Melbourne Cup next week. From the cup and off to the Grampions for about 10 days.
Looking forward to the trip and see how the new car performs.
Cheers

I have just left Victoria on my way North. Was in the
Grampians a couple of weeks ago. We were extremely lucky with the weather and had 4 of the best days you could hope for. Clear and warm 20 - 27 degrees.
Grampians beautiful, some great off road tracks if you want to trst the new car. Not scratchy stuff.....just little water crossings steep incline/declines and 4wd necessary. See the
places others don't. We also found alot more wild flowers off the beaten track.. Have a great time.
If you haven't already done it....I would suggest you go to the
Grampians via the Great Ocean road jjst for the drive and cut you visit to the
Grampians by a few days. you can still see just about all you need to see in the
Grampians in 7 - 8 days no worries.
I vote the Great Ocean Road and the Otway Ranges far more impressive than the
Grampians and would strongly suggest you go this way if you can if the TerraCAN. !!! Funny, aren't I ???
Do it.
Have a good one. Hope the weather clears for you. When I left Vic, it was cold and wet.
